We want to congratulate Kennedy for receiving this years Bright Future Foundation scholarship! Here’s a little about her:

Department:  Environmental and Sustainability Studies

What interested you in this department? I became interested in the program because of the rapid degradation of environment and I plan on slowing down the degradation. The environment is one of the things that I am the most passionate about and it’s not going away anytime soon!

How will receiving this scholarship benefit you? This scholarship will greatly benefit me by supporting my continuing of higher education with the support of financial aid. My struggles with the financial aid is less now and I am capable of focusing on my future as a college graduate. This scholarship will certainly give me a bright future.

About Kennedy I am a deaf girl and I do not let my disability define me, I let my courage, resilience, and my desire to help to define me. Courage is one of the biggest part of me because I am a girl who has gone through a lot of obstacles, only to let that to be a learning experience. From all of my experiences, I have learned that there is always a someone or something that needs help and I want to be the one that helps. Currently, one of the things I love the most is in a desire need of help, the environment. I make that my goal to help the environment and I plan to make a change in the world someday.
