We want to congratulate our second Bright Future Scholarship Recipient Enkhjin Ganbaatar. Enkhjin is a 2nd year Environmental and Sustainability Studies student at the University of Utah.

What interested you in your program?

Growing up in a country where half of the population is still living a nomadic lifestyle, I have become so close to nature as if it is a part of my identity. I remember summer holidays when we would be driving across the countryside, the endless blue-sky looms over our heads, a herd of horses would pass by, and I would find tranquility in the dance of the grasslands. Along with the pages of the calendar turning over, everything I was used to was changing in front of my eyes. The vast countryside area and the nature that I grew up seeing, was being terribly affected by the industrialization. With a desire to give my contribution to bringing sustainable future, I am majoring in Environmental and Sustainability Studies

How will receiving this scholarship benefit you?

This scholarship will benefit me tremendously by supporting me financially to pursue the higher education that I seek. Also, it will motivate me to focus harder on my academic goals

Tell us about yourself.

I am an international student at the U majoring in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and minoring in Earth Science. In the future, I plan to become an environmental auditor and policymaker with an extensive background in both science and environmental sustainability policy. In my free time, I love dancing, reading books, and hiking.
